Parking concerns at Croome Park.

Yesterday PCSO Ashley and PCSO Stirling were called to National Trust Croome Park after reports of illegal parking at the entrance to the estate.

Whilst the vast majority of visitors were polite and understanding that the park was experiencing a high number of visitors on a sunny day there were also reports of abuse to the staff at the Park who were helping visitors to park their vehicles within the grounds.

Inconsiderate or illegal parking can put pedestrians and other road users in danger. It can also create an obstruction for emergency vehicles.

Abusing staff is also unacceptable and could lead to people being refused entry to the Park.

While some enforcement activity is carried out jointly with partners, (relevant local authority) employ parking enforcement officers to assist with these issues, often problems can be resolved through raising awareness of the impact or consequences or other practical measures.

We have been:

  • Talking to motorists and advising them of the law.
  • Working with partners to find alternative off-road parking opportunities.
  •

Many thanks for your help and support. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can effectively both prevent and detect crime and keep our communities safe.

    PCSO STIRLING.
